difficult to manage

I must be a little dense or slow or something. This is the hardest blog site to use of the few I've used. I can't seem to manage to do anything I would like to do. I've seen a few other blogs on here that look great. I am completely at a loss on how to work my blog the way everyone else seems to. It's like trying to slog through a hip deep swamp with no shore in sight. >sigh< :(
